This is Amit, and this is my (true) story of fighting cancer (written by my younger brother).
I am 38 years old, and I am fighting Carcinoma of Tongue cancer, which is a kind of tumor at the base of my tongue. I live in Mumbai and this is my way of reaching out to the world and telling them my story.
You may have watched the 1980's Hindi movie, "Anand" which was immortalized by the late Rajesh Khanna. While both me, and the movie's protagonist are young, the similarity ends there (hopefully).
While Anand died alone, I am still very much alive with a wife & son. Also, my story is real, with lesser melodrama, but more real pain.
I would try to share as many of my thoughts as possible and would like to hear from you as well. Although I would also welcome financial/emotional help, the idea of the site is primarily to tell my story to the world as it unfolds.
